Askmeety is built on a simple principle: your meetings are none of our business. This policy explains exactly what we collect (very little), what we don't (everything about your meetings), and how we handle the data we do receive.
The short version
Askmeety runs entirely on your Mac. No audio, transcript, summary, or metadata ever leaves your device. We have no servers that receive your meeting data. because there are no servers.
What we collect
- Your name and email address. collected when you subscribe, processed by Dodo Payments to manage your licence.
- Payment information. handled entirely by Dodo Payments (PCI DSS Level 1 certified). We never see your card number.
- Licence status. we store whether your subscription is active so the app can verify access.
- That's it. We collect nothing else.
What we never collect
- Meeting audio. stays on your Mac, never transmitted.
- Transcripts. generated on-device using Apple's on-device ML models.
- Summaries and notes. processed and stored locally only.
- Participants, topics, or any meeting metadata.
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry of any kind.
How Askmeety works
Askmeety uses Apple's on-device speech recognition and machine learning frameworks (available on Apple Silicon) to transcribe and summarise your meetings entirely within your Mac's secure enclave. No internet connection is required or used during meeting processing.
Cookies and tracking
This marketing website uses no tracking cookies, no analytics pixels, and no third-party scripts that identify you. The app itself has no network capabilities beyond licence verification.
Data retention
Subscription records (name, email, licence status) are retained for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period for legal compliance. You may request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].
Third-party services
- Dodo Payments. processes subscription payments. Subject to Dodo's own privacy policy.
- No other third-party services have access to your personal data.
Your rights
- Right to access. request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to erasure. request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Right to portability. receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object. opt out of any communications from us.
Changes to this policy
We will notify subscribers by email of any material changes to this privacy policy at least 14 days before they take effect.
